We have books, audiobooks, CDs, Blu-ray, DVDs, software, video games and fishing poles. Information on checkout periods, limits and renewals can be found on our Circulation page.
Computers and Tech
Internet and Wi-Fi
Desktop computers are available for hour-long sessions (maximum of two sessions per day) and are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Quick Internet stations offer 15 minutes of access.
The Children’s Library offers Internet computers for children.
Wi-Fi is available and laptops may be checked out for two-hour sessions in-house to qualified patrons. For those who do not have a Garland County Library account, a valid, state-issued ID must be presented in order to be issued a guest pass.
Arkansas law requires that each Internet user read and sign the Internet Use Agreement.

We have six Kindle Paperwhites available for checkout to patrons with accounts in good standing.
Four Kindles are available at the circulation desk and they're already loaded with popular mysteries, thrillers, biographies, and more. Two Kindles are available in the Children's Department and are loaded with great books for kids!
All of the Kindles are regularly updated with some of the newest, most popular books.
Books by Mail
Have items mailed to you in returnable, postage-free bags!
Books by Mail is designed to meet the needs of the homebound and Garland County residents who are unable to use traditional library facilities.
Books and other formats are selected individually for each patron according to interests or specific requests. Materials will be sent on a regular schedule.
Library materials are delivered by mail in zippered pouches with reversible address labels for easy return.
If you are interested in this service, please complete an application and return it to the library. Once we receive the application we will call you to answer any questions you may have before the service begins.
If you do not have a library card and are unable to visit the library to apply for one, we will need a statement from your doctor so that we may issue you a card through the mail.

The courier service delivers requested items from the collections and delivers returns to the library. Our courier vehicle makes the following stops:
11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: McAuley Center, on Highway 7 past the west gate of Hot Springs Village
3 p.m. - 4 p.m.: Piney Grove Methodist, 2963 Airport Rd.
11 a.m. - Noon: Harps, 5536 Central Ave.
1 p.m. - 2 p.m.: Harps, 146 Thornton Ferry Rd .
The vehicle will only deliver requested materials. There is no browsing collection.
You can request up to 15 items to be placed on hold. Your holds are processed at the library. Holds remain on a patron's account for seven days. If a hold is not picked up during a courier visit, it will remain on the hold shelf at the library until the expiration date.

You can sign up for a library card at the courier stops, too! Fines may be paid as well.
Ready to go fishing but don't have a pole? We can help! We have fishing poles available in the Children's Library for checkout for up to three weeks.
Garland County Grows
The Garland County Library welcomes donations of open-pollinated or heirloom variety vegetable, herb, or flower seeds to stock our new seed library.
Seeds will be accepted if they are properly dried and identified. A seed donation form is available online or at the library.
If you'd like a book or other item not found in our collection, we can try to borrow it from another library. A $3.00 non-refundable fee must be paid before we search.
We will post your request to a minimum of 15 libraries, if that many offer the item. But, we cannot guarantee that the item will be available or supplied within any particular time frame.
Due dates for returning interlibrary loans are determined by the lending library. This service is available to resident cardholders from Garland County who have full borrowing privileges.
We have several options available for meetings, for groups of up to 14 to 115. Our Gordonelle Williams Hall (115 maximum) is great for larger meetings, lectures and music performances. Our three smaller rooms have capacities of 14 to 20, perfect for a smaller group or educational presentation.
Outgoing faxes can be sent at a rate of $1.75 for the first page and $1 for each additional page. Credit/debit cards may be used or fax cards may be purchased from the library. The library cannot receive faxes for patrons.
Printing is available from all Internet computers. Black-and-white printing is 5 cents per page and color is 25 cents per page. Self-service photocopiers are available as well.
To print from your laptop, download and install the Print Client.
Garland and Saline County residents can register online for a free eCard. Gain access our online databases and resources without leaving home. This card does not extend privileges to physical materials.
