GCL Launches Year-Round Donation Program to Support Local Organizations

The Garland County Library is excited to introduce a new year-round Donation Program, created to make it easier than ever for community members to support local organizations and neighbors in need. The library will now accept donations of non-perishable food, clothing, blankets, hygiene items, and even toys — essentially, anything that can be useful to individuals and families throughout Garland County.

Previously, the library collected items for specific groups during certain months, but the rotating schedule became overwhelming for both organizers and patrons. The new year-round setup ensures that the library can continually assist a variety of local organizations while simplifying the process for generous community members.

“There are so many people in this town who want to help,” Paul Kagebein, GCL Adult Services Specialist shared. “We want to make that as easy as possible by serving as a consistent, accessible donation drop for anyone looking to give back.”

Donation buckets will be available inside the library throughout the year, with proceeds and collected items distributed to different nonprofits and service groups around town.
