USA Today Bestselling Author Michelle Collins Anderson to Speak at Garland County Library

The Garland County Library invites readers and history enthusiasts to an author talk with USA Today bestselling author Michelle Collins Anderson on Monday, June 15, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Anderson will discuss her latest novel, The Moonshine Women, a historical fiction story rooted in Arkansas history and culture. Set during the Prohibition era, the novel follows three sisters who take over their father's moonshine operation, leading them from the Ozark Mountains to the bustling outlaw haven of Hot Springs.

Described as "an evocative Prohibition-era story of reinvention, sisterhood, and the alchemy of love," The Moonshine Women brings to life a fascinating chapter of Arkansas history while exploring themes of resilience, family, and self-discovery.

The program offers attendees an opportunity to hear directly from the author about her research, writing process, and the historical inspirations behind the novel. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.

Copies of The Moonshine Women will be available for purchase through local independent bookstore Black Ribbon Books, with opportunities for attendees to have their books signed following the event.

This free program is open to the public and is especially recommended for readers interested in historical fiction, Arkansas history, and stories with strong regional connections.
